What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What is a marketing funnel and why is it important for every marketer online create one?

It's a strategy for marketing that you employ to persuade prospective customers to purchase your products. It is a process of selling that involves a person visiting your blog to find the information they need to help them solve their issue. You will be able to establish a relationship with each person by using certain tools.

This will help you understand the needs and wants of each visitor. This in turn will push you to provide the best information to all your users. If you gain the trust of a visitor they are more likely to purchase your products. This visitor will then become a customer.

In time the majority of customers become very loyal clients who are willing to purchase just about every product that your website promotes. A marketing funnel describes the steps that are required to convert a person who comes to your website into a client who will return to you for future purchases.

This is the main goal of any online marketer. A well-designed funnel will achieve this very easily.

Your efforts to market are capturing the attention of people, and bringing them to your funnel. After they have completed the form on your PERSONAL lead capture page, they will be entered into the funnel. Because no one will opt in to your business lead capture page, I said "personal". They are looking to be a leader and not a business.

The lead capture page is the entrance into the funnel - when they click that "Sign up Now" or "Enter Here" button, they enter an entirely new idea of network marketing.

It's their decision. It's their decision. You've sold them nothing, other than yourself as a leader, a mentor, and as someone that can help them increase leads and bring more cash into their businesses.

This is how a typical funnel functions.

The "front-end" The "front-end" is where you create a free offer that will attract and qualify potential customers who might be interested in buying your product later down the sales funnel. To receive your free product, sign up (also called opt-in) and give your name and email address. Then you'll include them on your email list.

You now have these people in your email list and you are able to offer them similar promotions that may be of interest to them.

They will be taken to the page with an offer for a lower price or a trip wire deal immediately after signing to receive the offer for free. This is the point where they go into the "back-end of the funnel."

The purchaser will be taken to a related offer at a lower price when they buy the lower-cost offer (also known as an upsell). If the buyer buys this higher priced offer, they'll be transferred to the next product with a higher cost. This could go on for a long period of time.
